BLOG CANDY...

WOW
over
200 FOLLOWERS!

THANK YOU!

I am so thrilled that I have gone over 200 followers in the last couple of weeks
I cannot tell you  how much your support means to me!

I love reading all your comments and I love the fact that you take the time out of your busy schedules to drop by and pass a comment on the work that I have created...

The blog candy that I have for you is something that I use on a daily basis and I have had one in my craft bag for over 5 years... The Stampin' Up! stamp cleaner and cleaning mist. All you do is simply spray the mist on the pad and scrub your stamps clean - much better than baby wipes and soap and water!

So my lovelies!

I will draw the candy on the 1st September 2012
All I am asking you to do to be entered into my candy draw...
is follow my blog
spread the word
and leave a comment below...

Thank you for all your support and all your lovely comments on my work - they mean so much to me and I appreciate everyone of them!

Inspiration from a friend!

Hello!
I have been having problems with blogger and don't think that this posted with the pictures - makes it a little difficult for you to get the feel of my card without being able to see the pictures! So I am having another go!

I made this monochrome card for one of the challenges over on Craftymess. It is one of my favourite challenges monochrome and I live the effect that this creates... I chose to use cherry cobbler the deep red is so striking...

I have black embossed the 'love is' stamp from indigo blu a company I have only recently found... I love most of their designs and I love how detailed their stamps are... As a crafter I find this very important and I think that you will agree that this stamp is beautiful - and so effective when embossed... I can vouch that the detail is not lost when stamped either!
I have used black and red mats at jaunty angles on the base of my card and kept these plain...

I have added pearls and co-ordinating flowers to add texture... The inspiration for this card came from a very talented crafter who needs to update her blog! Then I can link to her - the last time that she blogged was 2010 and ever since then the posts has just been collecting dust... I have a feeling though that this may be about to change! Watch this space!

I hope you like my card and thank you taking the time to visit your comments as always are appreciated!

Craftymess Challenge!

Yesterday saw a great challenge in Craftymess! We had to create silhouettes...

This was great for me as I love them. I created a background using my copics and graduated the shades up across the card blank...

A very simple and quick card that is very effective, I decided to add the sentiment on a panel of its own so it stood out more!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenge:

sentiment

I have coloured the image with my pro-markers and i have stuck to traditional Christmas colours! Yes I know I said the dreaded word - Christmas... and this is the first card that I have made.
I used a panel of cream textured card for the base layer of the card, I distressed the edges and inked them.

ribbon detail

There is ribbon detail to the edge of the card and I have added gems to the top of the card and the bottom. I added a piece of SU DSP to the base layer and the sentiment is from one of the SU scrapping kits!

I love how this card turned out and I hope that you like it too! There was a little bleeding on the scarves of the birds - but this is my own fault as I was trying the make the red breast of the robin a deep red and added too much ink! oopppsss!
