I cannot bear to part with all my retired Stampin' Up! sets and this is one of them... I love this set and this will be one of the sets that I use for my personal Christmas cards this year. I have made this card as a thank you for one of my customers and I did not make it a Christams theme I used my ink pad lids and an aqua painter to add the colour to the image and before adding each layer I waited for the image to dry...
Once I had finished the painting image I inked the edges in black and mounted it on craft and mellow moss and then I mounted this to the card blank which was soft suede. I added the image at an angle and have also inked the edges of the card. I have added a thanks so much sentiment to the bottom right of the card.
A very simple card to make but very effective proving that not all Christmas sets have to be used just for that purpose.
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking x x x

Some crafting...
Ok! So again life has got the better of me and I have let my blog slip... What has got in the way this time I hear you ask making the massive decision to leave work and getting my resignation in (eeekkk!) We are decorating the hall stairs and landing or rather hubby is I am assisting in the sense I have picked the wallpaper, we are decorating the bathroom and have just picked the tiles, our garden is at the beginning stages for being done and I am doing craft fairs in the coming weeks with Deborah O'D as well - busy, busy, busy.So the cards that I have made today are using the babywipe technique a technique that I demonstrated at a recent workshop and have been asked to share some more examples from a couple of customers - I have used the new colours that were released last month as I have not had a proper play with them, although I wanted to do something different so have made Christmas Cards! using the stamp set Silent Night in bright colours...
I have used very vanilla card for the image on the cards and the new in colours rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede. I have used the co-ordinating ribbon to decorate the cards.
I hope you like the cards and thanks for looking - Debbi
