Another card...

So this weekend saw my anniversary and I wanted to do a card that used brayering - I definately need the practice and this is something that the lovely Helen had made me do a couple of days ago when showing us a couple of techniques. I will hold my hands up and admit that I find it very difficult and it is something that I just cannot get to look as I want it to - but this card did turn out a lot better than my previous attempts so I am improving!
I have used the stamp sets Vintage vogue and together forever by stampin up and their colours too.
For this card I used a panel of very vanilla and have brayered at each side of the panel I have used old olive and perfect plum and have graduated this into the centre of the piece. I have stamped the vine up the right hand side of the panel and also stamped a couple of images off. I then added dazzling diamonds to the flowers of the vine with the glue pen. The sentiment is stamped in perfect plum to the right hand side of the panel.
I have added a strip of perfect plum ribbon to the top of the panel and then mounted this onto a piece of old olive card stock I have inked the edges of the to add a bit of definition.and then mounted this onto  the card blank that is perfect plum and i have also inked the edges to this.
I hope you like the card - hubby did and I have also added a picture of the roses that he bought me - beautiful!

Anniversaries...

This week sees both my best friends and our anniversary and mine so the first card that I will show you is the one that I made for her. I have used Stampin' Up products and I have used the colours purple plum and certainly celery as her bedroom is purple - I have never used these colours together but love them! I have used the vine from the vintage vogue set and also the together forever sentiment. I have stamped the vine on very vanilla card and then inked the edges in plum - I mounted this on certainly celery card stock on which I had also stamped the vine on and then onto a card blank that was perfect plum. I have stamped the sentiment in the bottom right of the card and added some dazzling diamonds to the vine for added sparkle - I love the effect that you get from these and they last for ages (they also cover you if you are not careful, but that just adds to the glamour!) On the second picture you can see a close up of the glitter how fine it is and the great effect created. If you would like more information on the products available please get in contact - check back later for class details coming up!
cannot get this pic to flip the right way!
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking - your comments are appreciated Debbi x x x
Will try and add the second picture later for some reason will not load!

boys cards...

I think we all find doing mens/boys cards a bit difficult and I always draw a blank at first when trying to create one, which is why i am so pleased with fox and friends from SU! I have made many cards using this set and love the versatility of the set.
For this card I stamped three animals in blue onto whisper white card stock and then punched them out. I mounted them using dimensionals onto brocade blue card stock and then again onto a panel of soft suede card. This is then mounted onto a brocade blue card blank and I have stamped celebrate across the middle of the card from wonderful words...
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking - your comments are appreciated - Debbi x x x

Two Step Stamping...

So for the promotion this month Stampin' Up! are offering a great discount on selected stamp sets see below. I created this card a couple of weeks ago for my sister in law and I love the effect of the bold panel of flowers - I love how easy it is to create something that really stands out with this stamp set. It look good using subtle colours as well as bold combinations and there is so much scope of what can be created.
I have stamped on whisper white card stock and I have used basic grey to stamp the middle of the flowers. I have then inked the edges to the panel and mounted this on a real red card blank. The sentiment also in basic grey is to the top left of the card.
I hope you like the card and if you would like to order this stamp set please contact me for details! Thanks for looking and your comments are appreciated - Debbi x x x

Two Step Stamping...

Good Morning blogg Hoppers! I hope that you are enjoying your morning and seeing lots of inspiration on your journey... Thank you to Sarah for organising the blog hop for us this morning. If you have joined me from  Sheryls blog welcome and I am sure you liked her project as much as I did...
This morning I am sharing with you a first for me a 12x12 scrapbook layout that is showing you the stamp set Trendy Trees and Tiny Tags. I have scrapped some of the photos that were taken at the stampin' up convention last year in Frankfurt where we had a fabulous time and I met some lovely people.
For my page I have started with a piece of white textured paper and inked the edges in rose red I have added a length of striped ribbed to the left hand side of the layout and tied a knot in this. I have added the title to this and punched this out and mounted it again adding two tiny tags and a brad to decorate. It is stuck with tombow and the circles are mounted with dimensionals.
I have wheeled two strips of funky trees in chocolate chip and inked the edges of this with old olive. I have added 7 photos across the page and secured these with double side tape. Randomly placed across the photos are trees that I have used the rock and roll technique with and punched these out mounting these on rose red card, I have stamped them in close to cocoa and then rose red and old olive - some of the trees have been stamped off. For trees I have used the stamp-a-ma-jig so that the tree tops are in exactly the right place. This is a great tool to use and means that for sets where there is two step stamping involved - your stamping is going to be spot on - something that I need!
The tiny tags that I have added I have stamped in rose red and basic black to make them stand out. I have attached them with the clear rhinestone brads and the tag behind is stamped with the vine stamp in old olive.
I hope you like my layout - not very experienced at scrapbooking but I have had a go!
So now you continue on your journey to Gems blog and again I am sure you will love what she has created for you! Have a great Sunday everyone and enjoy the blog hop!

class...

Well here is one of the cards that my class made this evening, we made 3 cards and covered a notebook this evening and we had a great time there was lots of chat and laughter which always makes for a good evening! We used the newly introduced colours rich razzleberry, soft suede and melon mambo. and we stamped with the stamp set from the mini vintage vogue. This card was the rich razzleberry card teamed with the melon mambo and I have decoupaged the flowers that are on the right hand side of the card and added brads to the centre of the flowers using a couple of dimensionals to attach the flowers. The sentiment is stamped to the top right hand side of the card and I have used rich razzleberry to stamp in. I have added a vine border to the left of the card and stamped off the edges of this to add a subtle effect to the outer edge of the card. I have used confetti white for the panelling and inked the edges of this. I have mounted on melon mambo and to use a slightly different effect I have usd the shimmer paint and a dauber to add a little shimmer.
I hop eyou like the card and thanks for looking, your comments are appreciated - Debbi x x x
